2) Medical 101 Class
Instead of quarterly classes, we have decided to provide one-on-one direct telephone assistance through a Telephone Mentor Program. For assistance in living a healthy gluten-free lifestyle, understanding gluten intolerance, and to have your questions answered, please contact Linda Weller at 717-520-9817.
All education materials will still be available at regularly scheduled programs and are available on this national GIG website under “resources”.
3) Future Program Locations
All future programs will be held at the Giant Food Store Community Room in Camp Hill (3301 Trindle Road). There will still be opportunities for gluten-free tasting and samples.
Last Gluten Intolerance 101 Class
This will be the last Medical Facts class where the differences between all three intolerances while covering the symptoms, diagnosis, associated illnesses, and health issues with proper follow-up care will be shared.
This free class will be offered on Tuesday, September 6, at 7 p.m. Please pre-register by calling 717-520-9817. We will meet in the Community Room of the GIANT Food Store at 3301 Trindle Road, Camp Hill.
Gluten-Free Lifestyle Class
The Giant Food Store nutritionist, Madelyn Barrows, RDN, LDN, will lead this class at the Giant Food Store on Monday, September 26, at 6:00 p.m. Madelyn will cover tips on cooking, shopping and ordering gluten-free at restaurants. There will be opportunity for gluten-free tasting and samples.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for samples
Program begins at 6:00 p.m.
Lisa Stennett, Branch Manager, will be sharing tips on making easy and tasteful gluten-free bread. Prior to the program Madelyn Barrows, Giant Food Store nutritionist, will be providing a demo table with various gluten-free products sold in their store. In addition, our gluten-free samples volunteers, Steve and Susie Rosenberg, will still be sharing their latest treats, too.
IMPORTANT: Please only bring a GIANT shopping bag (plastic or one sold at the store) to take samples home.
