The Gluten Intolerance Group of Richmond is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
The Mission of GIG is to empower the gluten-free community through consumer support, advocacy and education.
Our meetings are held quarterly (March, June, September and December) on the first Thursday of the month at 7PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 903 Forest Avenue, Richmond, VA 23229. Meeting date and time may be changed to meet the availability of the speakers invited. Dinerthons and other social events will be held in addition to quarterly meetings.

Kristin Long Francisco M. Div. LCSW will be presenting “The Hope of Change – the Holidays and Beyond” to offer ways we can face changes that life gives us, positively.
Kristin is a counselor on the staff of VipCare – Virginia Institute of Pastoral Care, https://www.vipcare.org. Founded in 1967, VIPCare is an interfaith, not-for-profit counseling and educational institute, and one of the oldest and leading pastoral counseling centers in the nation. Its mission is to restore healing and hope through counseling and education.
GIG of Richmond and the Smith’s will provide the turkey, gravy and drinks.
Judy Hodges will provide the dressing.
Please plan to bring:
- A homemade or store bought GF side or dessert (to feed 8-10 people) ready to serve, complete with serving utensils.
- A card with the list of ingredients.
- $20 for your 2018 dues, which are tax deductible. As always, we appreciate your support!
- $7 if you wish to purchase our “Goodness! Gluten Free!” cookbook for holiday giving. For $7 plus $5 s/h, the cookbook can be mailed to a special person on your gift list! Just provide us with the address!
To share with those less fortunate, bring some shelf food items for the Sherbourne Food Pantry.
The donated food does not have to be gluten-free.
