My daughter turned 4 in November and is very small for her age. She just hit 30lbs! Her two year old brother is almost her size. Everyone just says she is petite. But the doctors monitor kids on a growth chart annually and they should stay on that curve. But my daughter completely fell off of it! So they tested her blood and turns out she has Celiac! The reason she isn’t growing is because she isn’t getting the nourishment form her food. So we are working on changing her diet and learning as much as we can. I love my teeny tiny girl, but I can’t wait for her to have a growth spurt and catch up to her classmates. I’m so glad that the doctors paid attention to their charting and followed through with the testing she needed.
